Past Mayors
The Llwchwr Town Council has been in existence since 1986 and a list of the Past Mayors is contained at the bottom of this page.
Councillor P. M. Williams - Mayor 2014/15
They say time flies. This is very true. Since taking office last May the time has passed so quickly, I can hardly believe that it is nearly at an end.
Over the past months I have met many organisations and groups and it has been my pleasure to present Council grants to: Loughor Old Age, West Street Gymnastics Club, Loughor short Mat Bowls, ATC Gorseinon, Loughor Town Trust, to name just a few.
It has been an honour and a privilege serving the community of Llwchwr as Mayor for the year 2014-2015 and I thank you all for your kindness and support.
Councillor Christine Richards - Mayor 2013/14
In May 2013, I approached my Inauguration with some trepidation as I didn't quite know what to expect but I have been both honoured and delighted to represent Llwchwr Town Council. They say that time flies when you're enjoying yourself and time certainly seems to have flown during my time as Mayor.
My charities this year have been Ty Olwen, Arthritis Research UK and the Loughor Inshore Rescue. Town Councillors and friends also took part in Race for life last summer, raising around £1000 for Cancer Research.
I would like to pass on my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has helped during the past year, especially our Clerk Tony. councillor colleagues who have advised and supported me in my role and all those friends who have helped and attended our fundraising events. I would also like to thank Penyrheol Comprehensive School pupils for supporting my charities.
I cannot finish without thanking my husband Mac. He has been a brilliant Consort.
