The Mayoress and I attended the Forget me Not Dementia Club and Catholic Church Hall on May 11th. Gower and Llwchwr Lions put on a lovely party to Celebrate the Queens Birthday. We invited the Parkinsons (Gorseinon Branch) to join us and we all had a wonderful time thanks to the Lions.
July 2016
On July 2nd the Mayoress and I attended the Loughor Fun Day held at Loughor Park. It was a wonderful day and thankfully the sun was kind to us. It was nice to see the community coming together and enjoying all of the wonderful events of the day.

On the 8th July the Mayoress and I went to Pontybrenin Welsh School to present all year 6 pupils with a pen. All pupils seemed very excited to attend Comprehensive in September. We had a great morning with the children.
On the 12th July the Mayoress and I visited Pontybrenin English School to present pens to all year six pupils leaving for Comprehensive School. We had a wonderful morning with the children.

On the 13th July the Mayoress and I went to the St Johns in Casllwchwr Primary School to present the Badgers and Cadets with certificates of achievement. We had a wonderful evening.
On the 14th July the Mayoress and I attended the army engagement group in Parc Y Scarlets. We were very impressed with the presentation as the speakers were very professional and were able to answer questions without relying on books/notes.
On the 15th July the Mayoress and I attended Casllwchwr Primary School to present pens to all year six pupils leaving for Comprehensive School. We had a wonderful morning with the children. We also attended the Pont Y Brenin leavers school concert held at the Welfare Hall. All children were very good and it was a pleasure to see them put their heart and soul into the performance. We had an excellent evening.
On the morning of the 20th July the Mayoress and I attended Tre Uchaf Primary School to watch the year six leavers concert. Mums, dads and grandparents were also there to see such a wonderful show.
In the afternoon we were honoured to present a bouquet of flowers and a council plate to the wonderful Mrs Hetty Rees who was celebrating her 100th birthday. We received a wonderful welcome and enjoyed the afternoon with Mrs Rees.
On July 30th I attended the Loughor Regatta. We were entertained by the Loughor Town Band, a DJ and the Buss Pass Cowboys. I think all who attended had a wonderful afternoon and luckily the weather was on our side.
August 2016
Pam and Myself presented a cheque to the Loughor Old Age. We had a warm welcome and spent an Hour chatting with them (coffee and biscuits went down a treat).
September 2016
Mabsant weekend On Saturday 24th September Pam and I attended a concert in St Michaels Church Loughor. It was a lovely evening we were entertained by a ladies choir, a duo on the violin and a singer playing the guitar. We went down to the Boating Club where the Bus Pass Cowboys entertained us. What a lovely evening had by all.
On Sunday 24th September Pam and I attended the Blessing of the Lifeboat. I, with the Rev Ian Jones and Councillor Christine Richards, led the the way from the Lifeboat station to the church. The Rev Ian Jones then Blessed the Boat and all who Sail in here.
Following this we all went into the Church for a service. We especially enjoyed the entertainment from the children from Upper and lower Loughor who sang some songs relevant to sea Ferrers
Another good evening had by all.
October 2016
Pam and Myself presented a cheque to the Short Mat Bows Club based in the Pengry Road club on Wednesday afternoon 26th October.
We had a warm welcome and a good afternoon. Tony, the Town Clerk, tried his hand at bowling but over arm is not allowed.
November, 2016
Pam and I attended the Wreath laying at the Cenotaph in Gorseinon on the 5th November. It went well and the weather was kind to us. The Gorseinon Town Band played well and the service was very good.
We held a cheese and wine evening in the Garden Village Football Club and it was a wonderful evening and all enjoyed.
Councillor Kelly Roberts compiled the quiz and everyone enjoyed playing along. I would like to thank Kelly for presenting the quiz, and also Ireen, Pam, Jan, Liz, Zoe and Elliott. I would also like to thank all those who came along and donated money for the raffle.
We attended the Gorseinon and Llwchwr Town Council Lantern Parade in Gorseinon on 30/11/16. There was an excellent turnout of marchers and spectators, the weather was kind to us. The fireworks display was superb (the best one to date). I think all who attended had a wonderful time
December 2016
We attended the Penyrheol Boxing Club Dinner in the Pengry Road club. They put on 9 rounds but I refused to go in the ring because I am allergic to pain. We had a good and entertaining evening.
We attended Jireh Church coffee afternoon. We were entertained by the children of Casllwchwr school singing carols. We had a very enjoyable afternoon and a great welcome. Thank you Councillor Jeff Bowen.
We attended the St John's carol service in St David's church Loughor. It was well attended. The badgers and cadets were very good. The mince pies went well another good day out. We also attended the Friends of Park Williams carol service in St Michael's Church and the service in St Mary's Church in Swansea.
We attended a concert in the Gower College (Gorseinon) Santa's little helpers performed by the students of the collage, they put on a fantastic performance. I congratulate them. We had a very enjoyable evening.

April 2017
1/4/17: Pam and I attended the Gower and Llwchwr Lions 47th charity dinner. We really enjoyed the evening.
12/4/17: The Mayoress and I presented cheques to the Gorseinon Gymnastics Club in West Street. They put on a fantastic display for us. I wanted to join in but I was told I was the wrong generation (too old). We had a wonderful evening.

19/4/17: We presented a cheque to the Penyrheol boxing club. The club put on a display and were kind enough to give me a pair of gloves to put on, but being allergic to pain that is all I did (and then take them off).

21/4/17: I think all enjoyed the council dinner tonight. The catering was first class and I would like to thank everyone who donated prizes for the raffle and the bus pass cowboys for the wonderful entertainment. Last but not least a thank you to our young waiters Isaac and Owen Walters who were like professionals. A special thanks to Cllr Christine Richards for donating the two tickets to see the Swans.
28/4/17: At the councillors awards evening we presented awards to different people of the community for their achievements, all recognised by the Llwchwr Town council. At the end of the presentations I said a special thank you to Issac and Owen Walters for their help throughout my year in office.
May 2017
2/5/17: The mayoress and I presented a cheque to the Gorseinon Scouts. We had a good welcome and many questions about the mayors duties. We watched a tent being put up and 12 scouts squeezing inside. It was a good time had by all.
12/5/17: The Mayoress and I visited the Welsh Air Ambulance this morning to present them with a cheque from the Town Council. We had a good welcome and some photographs next to the new helicopter. It was a good morning.
